Psalm 55 - Prayer to ward off enemies - Word of God for today

I call to God, the Lord for help, and he saved me. Morning, noon and night, I cry and I complain, and he hears me. It brings me safely back from the battles that I fight my many enemies. The God who reigns from eternity hear me and defeat. They do not want to change their lives and not fear God. My former companion attacked their own friends and broke the promises he had made to them. His words were softer than butter, but his heart was hatred. His words were softer than oil, but they cut like sharp swords. Give your troubles to the Lord, and he will help you; he never fails to fail the person who obeys him. But as those murderers and traitors, thou, O God, you will play in the world of the dead bottom; they will not reach half of his life. But I trust in thee. – Psalm 55: 16-23
