Psalm 40 – Prayer of Thanksgiving – God’s Word for Today
I waited patiently for the help of God, the Lord. He listened to me and heard my cry for help. He drew me out of a dangerous pit, a mud pit. He put me safely on a rock and established my steps. He taught me to sing a new song, a hymn of praise to our God.
When you see it, many fear the LORD and bring it to your confidence. Happy is the one who trusts in God, the Lord, who does not go after the idols or join those who worship false gods! O Lord our God, who hast done great things for us. There is no one like you. You have made many wonderful plans for our good. Even if I wanted to, I could not speak of them all, because there are so many that can not be counted.
You do not want animals offered in sacrifice, nor meat offering. Thou hast not asked animals to be burned whole on the altar or exigiste sacrifices to take away sins. On the contrary, they have given me ears to hear, and so I replied, "Here I am; your instructions for me are in the Book of the Law. I delight to do thy will, O my God! Keep your law in my heart. "O Lord God, the meeting of all your people, I told the good news that you saved us. You know that I will never stop proclaiming it. I have not kept to myself the news of your salvation. I have always spoken of your faithfulness and your saving power. At meetings of all your people, I was not silent about your love and your faithfulness. – Ps 40: 1 to 10
Un big hug and be with God.
