Like not having pride

Like not having pride

The Word of God we see that unfortunately still find people out there who do not believe in God. People who rely only on the things of the world and have no room for God in their lives. Proud people before God who think that by practicing things and good works will be able to save.

What is a proud person? He is a person dominated by pride. Pride leads to unbelief and this leads man to despise God. A great person superb feature is that it is her god himself. She has too much self-confidence as well as self-sufficiency.

In the passage below the Lord Jesus rebukes such behavior. He speaks directly to the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida and Capernaum.

20 – Then Jesus began to accuse the cities where he had done many miracles. He did this because the inhabitants had not repented of their sins. Jesus said: 21 – – Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles that were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, the inhabitants would have already abandoned their sins long ago. And to show they were sorry, they would dress clothes made of sackcloth and ashes would have thrown in the head! 22 – For I tell you that, on Judgment Day, God will have more worth of Tyre and Sidon than for you, Chorazin and Bethsaida. 23 – And you, Capernaum, do you think will go up to heaven? It will be thrown into the world of the dead! For if the miracles that were performed in you had been done in the city of Sodom, it would exist today. 24 – For I tell you that, on Judgment Day, God will have more of Sodom worth than you, Capernaum. – Matthew 11:20 to 24

If Jesus was doing the same rebuke today he would say to every person who has not accepted him as their Lord and Savior. Then you, Maria. Then you, Alberto. Then you Paula. Woe to you, Mauricio. You think you have no sins? Deny the Holy Spirit of God is already a very serious sin. If the miracles that today you are watching daily on the Internet, on television and in my church were made in those cities last they ever would have repented of their sins and be converted. But I have a very hard heart. A very proud heart before God. You are very incredulous. You can not put aside self-sufficiency and high self-esteem and do not recognize that the Lord Jesus is there among you acting today. He acts today as it did in the past and will always act. You see the release of the people, the transformation of drug addicts, healing the sick, restoring marriages and families, yet you do not give credit to the Word of God does not repent and do not give your lives for God. You think you go to heaven for doing things and good works. No! Those who reject the Lord Jesus will not go to heaven. Those who reject the Lord Jesus Christ, rejects God and so the fate of this person is the underworld.

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. However, he that believeth not shall be damned! – Matthew 16:16

I, only I, am the Lord, only I can save you. – Isaiah 43:11

So if you are a person who lives practicing things and good works, you are to be congratulated for it, but you can do much better. Do not be proud (a) before the Lord Jesus Christ. Put yourself in prayer before the Father and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, ask Him to change your life. Ask the Father to take that pride of his life. Humble yourself before the Lord and recognize it as their one and only Lord and Savior. Do what He will exalt you and save you.

A big hug and be with God
