I’m afraid to go wrong
God's word for today we will see that fear is part of human life. We do not like to feel fear. But it is a reality that sooner or later, it will confront us. When this happens, we have to be prepared to face it and overcome it.
My heart is racing; the terrors of death assail me. Fear and trembling dominate me; fear came over me. – Psalm 55: 4, 5
1 – Fear usually appears when the storm approaches. When the giant or the armies of evil march up the people. It is very natural human beings fear before danger. However, we can not allow ourselves to be prostrate before him. The fear must be for us a sign that we must act, and act very fast. That is exactly what did Abigail. The Bible does not say that Abigail was afraid, but God's Word says that as soon as she knew that David was on his way from his home to take revenge on Nabal her husband, she soon realized the danger that was approaching. Abigail was not prostrate. Abigail did not flinch and responded quickly. God's Word says that she immediately took steps to resolve this serious crisis. It was also what happened to King Jehoshaphat that given the imminent attack of huge armies, He prayed to God and laid in the Lord all faith and trust. He said: You are strong and powerful, and no one can resist your power. – 2 Chronicles 20: 6. The Word of God teaches us: God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power. – 2 Timothy 1: 7. A spirit of power. A spirit of boldness. A spirit of action and reaction. A spirit of faith, confidence and struggle.
"My mind and my body may fail, but God is the strength of my heart – Psalm 73.26
2 – If we look at the problems, they will swallow us. If you are expecting the giant and the armies approach we becoming weaker. So we have to react and attack as soon as possible. If only we keep looking for enemy threats the fear leave us prostrate and without reaction, but if we look at the infinite strength and power of our God, He will give us strength, boldness and courage to conquer the victory. Fear is inevitable, but it will never be able to resist or overcome the greatness and power of our God.
3 – When fear and dread trying to enslave our lives we must react immediately and seek the presence and providence of the Lord
I sought the Lord, and he heard me; He delivered me from all my fears. – Psalm 34: 4
But I, when you are afraid, I trust in you. – Psalm 56: 3
"The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" – Hebrews 13: 6
4 – God always puts in our hearts the courage to fight. But at the same time He shows us that the success of the battle and victory comes from strength and His arm. Always trust in God. Never let yourself be dominated by fear. Against the strong, great and mighty God of Israel none can resist.
Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. – 2 Chronicles 20:15
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
From all eternity, I Am; and there is nothing or no one who can deliver out anything or anyone of my hands. I act, who can reverse it? "- Isaiah 3:13 4
