How to pray

God's Word for today we see that prayer is much simpler than many people think. We should always remember that the "Our Father", the prayer that the Lord Jesus taught us, must always be our greatest example of prayer.

1 – Contrary to what many think, God does not answer all the people who pray. The person who lives in sin does not please God, and even their prayers are detestable to Him.

If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord will not hear me; – Psalm 66:18

If someone refuses to hearing the law, even his prayers are detestable. – Proverbs 28: 9

We know that God does not hear sinners; but every worshiper of God, and all that is your will, that He meets. – John 9:31

2 – Our prayer should be a frank conversation with our Father we should not be afraid or ashamed of anything.. Our God already knows in advance everything that happens in our minds and in our hearts. What does he expect of us is that we be pure and true as they are small children when they tell things to their parents. Many people stand before God and are not sincere in their prayers. This should not be so. When one stands before God and ask Him for a small house, but in her heart there exists the desire of a mansion with pool, this person is not being truthful. And that unfortunately is very bad. God loves sincerity. God really likes. Never be afraid to be spontaneous (a). never be afraid or embarrassed to be honest (a). That's exactly what Jesus said of the Pharisee's prayer (a prayer to himself same) and the tax collector (one his prayer to God).

And when you pray, do not keep repeating the same thing, as the heathen do. They think they will be heard for their much speaking. Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. – Matthew 6: 7-8

They do not get what they want because they do not ask God. And when they ask, do not receive because your motives are bad. Ask for things to use them for their own pleasures. – James 4: 2-3

3 – We should always pray and watch

Pray continually. – 1 Thessalonians 5:17

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all prayer and supplication; with this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. – Ephesians 6:18

4 – We must pray insistently. Our prayer must be persistent. Our prayer should bother the Lord:

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. He said: "In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor cared about men and was in that city a widow who kept coming to him, pleading with him:. 'Grant me justice against my adversary.' "For some time he refused. But finally he said to himself, 'Though I do not fear God or care about men, yet because this widow keeps bothering me; I will do her justice so she would not come over to pester me '"And the Lord went on." Listen to what the unjust judge saith. Will not God bring about justice for his elect who cry to him day and night? Continue making them wait? I tell you: He will avenge them speedily and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth? "
Luke 18: 1-8

"Ask and it will be given you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will open For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will open – Matthew 7: 7-8..

5 – We should always pray to the Father in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ,

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. What you ask in my name, I will. – John 14:13 14

If you ask the Father in My name He will give them. 24 – Until now you have asked nothing in my name; ask and receive that your joy may be full. – John 16:23 to 24

On that day you will ask for things in my name. And I say that I will not need to ask the Father on behalf of you, 27 – for the Father himself loves you. He loves them because you indeed love me and believe that I came from God. – John 16:26 27

6 – We should always pray with faith:

If anyone lacks wisdom, ask God, and he will because he is generous and gives with kindness to all. 6 – But ask with faith, not doubting at all, for he who doubts is like the waves of the sea before the wind from one side to the other. 7 – Who am I not think that you will receive anything from the Lord, 8 – it has no firmly and never know what to do. – James 1: 5-8

"And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive". – Matthew 21:22

"For verily I say unto you, if anyone says to this mountain. Rise up and cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those who says, so will he Therefore I I say that whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you receive, and you will have them. " – Mark 11:23 to 24

7 – Finally, I would like to leave with you an example of prayer that one of the nicest men God did. Note intimacy and humility with which King David spoke to God. See that his prayer is more like a conversation. Close inspection reveals these details we can learn a lot from this blessed man of prayer. This prayer is a little long, but I'm sure it's worth, and you devote to reading and learning this great lesson. This prayer king David made soon after learning through the prophet Nathan, among other promises for the future, that the Lord would give one of his sons, the great honor to build a temple for him.

18 – King David went into the Tent, sat down and prayed: – O Lord my God, I do not deserve everything you did for me in the past, and my family did not deserve. 19 – As if the blessings of the past were still few, now you're making promises about my descendants in the future. And you let a man see this, O Lord my God! 20 – What else can I tell you? You know me, for I am thy servant. 21 – It was your will and purpose to do this; and let me know of all these great things. 22 – How great you are, O Lord our God! There is no one like you; as we have heard, I alone am God; there is no other. 23 – There is no other nation on earth like thy people Israel, which libertaste to be your own people. You have become famous and have made great and wonderful things for them. Thou hast delivered thy people of Egypt and drove out the nations and their gods as your people progressed. 24 – O LORD, thou hast with which your people Israel to be your forever and become their God. 25 – – And now, O Lord our God, confirms the promise you made about me and about my family and does what it said it would. 26 – Your fame will be great, and people always say, "The Lord Almighty is the God of Israel." And you shall cause there are always kings among my descendants. 27 – Lord Almighty, the God of Israel! I have the courage to make this prayer because you revealed to me, your servant, what will I do with that my descendants are kings. 28 – And more. Thou, O Lord, hast made me this wonderful promise, and your Word always comes true for you are God. 29 – I ask you now to bless my descendants so that they continue to always have your protection. Thou, O Lord my God, I promised it. May your blessing be with my descendants forever! – 2 Samuel 7: 18-29

A big hug and be with God
