Come into my life

Come into my life

He entered Jericho and was passing through town. There was a man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. Sought to see who Jesus was, and could not because of the crowd, because he was short. And he ran ahead and climbed a sycamore tree to see him, for he was to pass that way. When Jesus came to the place, he looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, come down quickly; because I must stay at your house today. Down therefore made haste, and received him joyfully. When they saw it, they all murmured, saying, gone to be guest with a sinful man. Zacchaeus, however, got up and said to the Lord: Behold, Lord, give to the poor half of my goods; and if in anything I have cheated anyone, I restore it fourfold. Jesus said to him: Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham. For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. – Luke 19: 1 to 10

The word of God is telling us that Zacchaeus was not only a man successful professionally. As we can see he was the chief tax collector. He played a leading position and leadership. Zacchaeus was a rich man.

How interesting!

Usually the rich believe only in themselves. They do not believe in God and do not care about the church. There are some who even say that this religion business is something of poor people, frustrated and that loser for failing to nothing in life end up sinking in dreams, delusions and illusions of religion.

The rich are usually found in their mansions, palaces, farms, beach houses, cottages. Their life is often quite hectic. We can find them in chimes meetings, parties or celebrations ever held in very luxurious surroundings, beauty, beautiful and fragrant people. In such environments usually never miss a table laden and full of excellent food and top-notch drinks.

What would be making a rich man in that tumult among the great crowd. That popular agglomeration. He was being squeezed by one, pushed by others. Getting elbowed and yet, because of his small stature and the difficulty of the moment, he was not able to reach your goal.

After all, what was the point that one persistent man wanted to achieve?

Significantly increasing his fortune?
Buy more properties?
Buy more animals?
Buy more gold?

Let's see what the big goal that man was in his heart.

Sought to see who Jesus was, Luke 19: 3

Ah! Now we know what that the rich man was doing there in that place.

He wanted to see Jesus!

That's weird! Why is it that rich man was not at his palace in his country house, on his farm living the good and the best, enjoying everything that money could offer you?

The fact is that little man wanted to see the Great Lord of Nazareth. And it was not a curiosity not any. It was a great desire as to cause the man to leave running ahead of the people so that he could get ahead and secure your place on top of a fig tree.

Remains very weird that!

A rich man running down the street playing with the people a place on top of a fig tree just to see the simple man of Nazareth. Very strange!. That's definitely not something common.

The fact is that Zacchaeus was not there by chance and not by simple curiosity. He was there because our Almighty God already had called. Already he had rescued.

It is the spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words I have spoken to you are spirit and life. But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who it was who would betray him. He continued: So I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father you are not granted. John 6:63 65

Our God heard the cry coming from the heart of Zacchaeus. Though he was rich, he was unhappy. Zacchaeus was feeling empty and dissatisfied with material possessions and the life he was leading. Otherwise I would not be there in the midst of people. He would not be there to see the passing of a humble figure as was the person of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was there inspired by the Holy Spirit and led by God.

It was by the mercy of God that Zacchaeus was up loving arms of our Redeemer and Savior. No one might want to see our Lord Jesus Christ our God and Father did not lead to the true path of salvation and eternal life.

That's what that rich home was there. That was why he was making it impossible to meet the Lord Jesus Christ. This was the reason that made up that fig tree.

The Word of God guides us:

For everyone who asks receives; and who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, it will be opened. Matthew 7: 8

Zacchaeus asked. Zacchaeus sought and clasped salvation lay before him. Once the Lord Jesus Christ came He called that anxious man. At that moment everything went as it was said in the Word of God:

All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out. John 6:37

Jesus does not look at our sins. Jesus is always ready to forgive us. Jesus does not reject anyone who wholeheartedly repent and look to Him to be your true path to freedom, for peace, for love and for eternal life.

As the heart of that rich man and sinner, as we are all sinners, was completely transformed by our God he did not take the slightest. As soon as he heard the call of the Savior and liberator he ran down and was full of joy, he took the Lord Jesus Christ into the house it.

Zacchaeus was a rich man, but he was unhappy, empty, unhappy and lost. From the day we had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ his eyes opened and he can see what is really important in man's life. He understood that what was important was not only your money, your property, office or any other material goods that he owned, but the presence of God in his life and love among people.

Therefore the Lord Jesus said:

Today salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham.
10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. – Luke 19: 9 to 10

That day Zacchaeus had a personal encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ and, as always happens when a man has a true encounter with the Lord of Lords, our God of Love, there is no way a man remains just as before. Everything is new!

And that's exactly what happened in the life of Zacchaeus.

Amen and Thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ
