But David said to him, You come to me with sword, spear and shield; but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. Today the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; smite thee, and make thee the head; camp of the corpses of the Philistines will give this day to the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth; so that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel; And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saves not with sword or spear; because the Lord is the battle, and he will give you into our hands. 1 Samuel 17:45 47


Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and the straw breaks the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; they have rejected the law of the Lord of hosts, and despised the word of Israel's holy, Isaiah 5:24

Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will fire my words in thy mouth, and this people wood, and it shall devour them. – Jeremiah 5:14

The wise are confounded, dismayed and taken; They rejected the word of the Lord; and what wisdom is in them? – Jeremiah 8: 9

And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this world or the next. – Matthew 12:32

Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. – John 15:20

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; which, however, disobeys the Son will not see life, but remains on him the wrath of God. – John 3:36


Then the devil left him; and, behold, angels came and attended him. Matthew 4:11

So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; She wounded him and killed him; and there was no sword in David's hand. Ran So David, stood upright on the Philistine, and took his sword and drew it out of its sheath, killed him, cut off his head with it. Then the Philistines seeing that their champion was dead, he fled. 1 Samuel 17:50 51

When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he said this, and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said. John 2:22


I have other sheep that are not of this fold; them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one flock, one shepherd. For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life to take it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of myself; I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This commandment have I received of my Father. John 10:16 18

And they were all amazed, and spoke among themselves, asking each other: What is this, for with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out? – Luke 4:36

So the word of the Lord grew mightily and prevailed. – Acts 19:20

He who guards his mouth preserves his life, but he who opens his lips to himself ruined. – Proverbs 13.3

For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. – John 3:16
