Do not give up on your dreams
5 Joseph had a dream, and he told it to his brothers; so the even more hated.
6 And I said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream I had:
7 we were binding sheaves in the field, and behold, my sheaf arose and stood upright; and your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf.
8 They answered him his brothers, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? Thou indeed have dominion over us? So the even more hated by his dreams and for his words.
9 And Joseph dreamed another dream, and told it to his brothers, saying, I had still another dream; and behold, the sun and the moon and eleven stars bowed down to me.
10 And he told it to his father and to his brothers, his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream you had? Perhaps will come, I and thy mother and thy brethren, to bow down ourselves to face to the ground before you?
11 And his brethren envied him; but his father kept the saying in mind.
Genesis 37: 5 to 11
When Joseph of Egypt had these dreams he still was seventeen years old. As we can see he was still big boy happy and totally unconcerned. Today we know very well that those dreams that marked the boy's youth Joseph were in fact revelations, which from an early age, our God was already recording in his heart.
Let's take a trip back to front.
Now! We all know what the wonderful destiny that Joseph of Egypt had. We already know the beginning of his life. We all know very well that Joseph had a serious problems and with his brothers and later, as in Egypt, continued to face enormous hardships and trials.
The story of Joseph in Egypt is very interesting and edifying for us because it gave us great examples of behavior and trust in God. Its spectacular history and the wonderful outcome of what God has done in the life of this great man of faith will always be for us a source of wonderful inspiration and learning for our steadfast walk with our God.
It's amazing how the dreams of Joseph were faithfully fulfilled by God. The expression we use in everyday life in which we say to a brother or sister that God has a plan for his or her life is just that. God's plans may be disclosed to men in many different ways. In the case of young Joseph, God's promises were revealed to him in dreams.
Joseph, even amid great difficulties, know that God had a plan for his life. This was very important so that it does not despaired or lost faith and hope he deposited in divine providence. Thus, waiting for the hope he never left shake even discouraged in the face of great adversity he ended up facing during his youth.
It is important to bear in mind that although God had a dream to Joseph's life, his life was not easy. We all know how many and how many trials he had to go in order to live the fulfillment of the promises and dreams of God in his life.
We all know that sometimes things got very complicated in Joseph's life. However, when we realize that Joseph would not let problems or surprises of life abatessem or to defeat. Even after great humiliation and persecution he always raised his head, shook the dust and with great faith and perseverance, he moved on always with love and fidelity copy to God.
God walked with Joseph and Joseph walked with God:
2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.
3 And his master saw that God was with him, and he did prosper in his hand all that he undertook.
4 So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him; so he made him overseer of his house and into his hand all he had.
5 Since the set as overseer in his house and over all his possessions, the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the Lord's blessing was upon all that he had, in the house and in the field. – Genesis 39: 2-5
Now we come to a crucial point: fidelity in walk with God.
We can see that from a young Joseph is seeking to walk in the ways of the Lord always seeking to walk in truth and sincerity of heart. This truth and sincerity of heart already showed the kind of relationship that Joseph from a young age, already had with God. It was a very close relationship and full of love and fidelity. Look at the reverence and faithfulness that Joseph had with God, look at the level of Fear and love that this great man had towards our Creator and Lord, observe these fine words uttered by him at a time of great trial:
How, then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39: 9
This great little prayer shows one of the most sublime moments of Love and Fear God ever reported in the history of God's Word. It's amazing the huge teaching that has little text. As would be nice if all people think and act the same way as Joseph. Everything in the world would be better and, of course, would be a world of great peace and happiness.
Observing these few words and piercing, once again, we proved that the things of God are very simple. Let's continue!
What is your dream?
What is our dream?
What is the dream that God has placed in your in my heart?
You want this dream a reality in your life?
Then we must do as did the blessed Joseph of Egypt. We should do the same thing that made this great man of faith, which was one of the most blessed man in the whole history of God's Word. We must faithfully follow the example he left us:
How can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God? Genesis 39: 9
That's it! We must think and act in the same way it acted Joseph of Egypt. Every time we are to have a more delicate decision or attitude, every time we are in doubt as to which path to take we must remember these blessed words. Thus, whatever we do we do to the honor and glory of our God.
Thinking and acting so certainly we will be providing all the conditions for that God the Father can do in us all the dreams and plans he dreamed for our lives.
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord; plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
Amen and Thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
