Getting away from sin

So we can guard us from sin is important to note as the enemy, the father of sin threatens our lives and especially against our communion with God the Father.

1 – Empty Heart of God and Works

Having one year, the time when kings go forth to battle, David sent Joab, and his servants, and all Israel; and they destroyed the Ammonites and besieged Rabbah. But David remained in Jerusalem. Now it happened that one evening, David arose from his bed and began to walk in the king's house; 2 Samuel 11: 1 and 2

King David that afternoon was half idle, he was sleeping and waking he was walking on the roof, that while their soldiers were in battle. The first thing to do is to keep your heart pure and full of the Holy Spirit, this is only possible filling of fellowship with God through His wonderful Word. So, keep your heart open and facing the daily scripture reading.

Guard with all diligence your heart, for from it flow the springs of life. – Proverbs 4:23

Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. – James 1:27

2 – The look, the Listen, the Feeling

(…) I saw a woman who was washing; and was very beautiful woman in sight. 2 Samuel 11

"But I say unto you, that whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery in his heart to her" – Matthew 5:28

Eve saw that the fruit was good …
David looked at Bathsheba …
Lot's wife looked back …

Many sins begin with a look! Do not delay your look at all that is wrong:

"Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cup and goes down smoothly. At its end, it bites like a snake and as the basilisk, sting "Proverbs 23: 31-32

His gaze away from all that is evil. King David was looking … Looking … Until we did the wrong thing! And look what He was an anointed man and after the heart of God. By chance you are stronger and blessed than he?

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and not walk the path of evil. Avoid it; pass not by it; turn from it and pass "- Proverbs 4: 14-15

3 – Greed, desire

For God knows that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. – Genesis 3: 5

From whence come wars and fightings among you? Come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Covet and you have nothing; then they kill. Covet and can not obtain; ye fight and war. You have nothing, why not pedis.Pedis and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your deleites.Infiéis you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain: The Spirit who dwell in us yearns for us to jealousy But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resists the proud; , but gives grace to the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God; Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will draw close to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and, you double-minded, purify your corações.Tiago 4: 1-8

4 – Consent

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food and pleasing to the eye, and a tree desirable to make one wise … Genesis 3: 6

5 – The action

(…) It took of its fruit and ate, and gave to her husband, and he ate. Genesis 3: 6

(…) And he lay with her; – 2 Samuel 11: 1 and 2

To escape the sin the important thing is to run away from all stages. Let us learn from Joseph of Egypt: And Joseph was brought into Egypt, and Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him there. And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his Egyptian master.

Therefore, seeing his master that the Lord was with him, and everything he did the Lord prosper in his hand, Joseph found favor in his eyes, and he served him: and he will post on his house and into his hand all he had.

It happened, since that had put him over his house and over all that he had, the Lord blessed the Egyptian's house for Joseph's sake; and the blessing of the LORD was upon all that he had in the house and in the field.

And he left everything he had in Joseph's hand; and he knew nothing of what was to him, except the food which he ate. And Joseph was a goodly person, and well favored. It happened after these things, that his master's wife after her eyes upon Joseph, and said: Lie with me.

But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master does not know what there is at home with me, and to my hand all you have; There is none greater in this house than I, and no such thing has forbidden me but thee, because thou art his wife; how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

And it came to pass, as she spake to Joseph every day, not giving you it ear to bed her and be with her, it came to pass on a certain day he came to the house to do his business; and none of the house was there; And she caught him by his garment, saying, Lie with me. And he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out. It happened, seeing that she had left his garment in her hand, and fled forth, called the men of her house, and spake unto them, saying, See, he hath brought us a Hebrew man to mock us; He came to me to lie with me, and I cried with a loud voice; It happened, he heard that I lifted my voice and cried, he left his garment with me, and fled, and got him out.

Genesis 39: 1 to 15

See well:

Joseph was with the Lord, The Lord was with Joseph; (the Lord was with him, and everything he did the Lord prosper in his hand)
Joseph was working; (and served it)
Joseph did not look neighbor's wife;
Joseph did not covet your neighbor's wife; (But he refused)
Joseph resisted the temptation and, for God's sake, did not sin against the commandments of God; (how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?)
José resitiu bravely in the Lord and did not listen to the repeated calls of the enemy (like, then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?)
Joseph resisted, ran away and won the enemy's temptation (he left his garment in her hand, and fled, and got him out).

José after that ended up being vilified and persecuted, but he did not sin and God exalted him in a wonderful way. This is the reward of all those who, with faith and perseverance, resitem to the evil attacks.

Amen and thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
