How to win in the desert 2

Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, where for forty days he was tempted by the devil. I ate nothing during those days and at the end of them he was hungry. The Devil said, "If thou be the Son of God, command this stone to become bread." 4 Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Not by bread alone doth man live'" – Luke 4: 1-4

Jesus was already in the desert was forty days. He was in a dry environment. He was hungry. Hunger means lack of food. Food shortage is the opposite of plenty. Before we can already say that Jesus was living a period of crisis. A grace period. A period of crisis.

Let's look at how it was that the Lord Jesus could overcome the devil in that crisis situation. Let's see how he fought and what it was that gave him the victory.

We do below a brief study of the situation. For that we will. Let's call the Devil "crisis."

The crisis has invested the first time against Jesus:

– "If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread."

Jesus rejected the attack against crisis with the word of God:

"It is written: 'Not by bread alone doth man live'"

Here's our first lesson:

The crisis may be the way she is. It can be a small wave can be tsunami. Does not matter. To overcome the human crisis can not only rely on the strength of his arm. We can not think that our life is only based on what we look around us or in our wants and needs. Our lives are busy, first, by the will, the Word and the strength of our good God.

But Jesus answered him: It is written: Not by bread alone doth man live, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Matthew 4: 4

The word that comes from the mouth of God will always be life. It was life to Jesus Christ and always will be life for all who believe in the strength and power of it.

Temptation means inducing someone to do evil. That's what the devil did with our Lord Jesus Christ, I tried to do our Lord Jesus sin, but the only thing he got was another defeat him before the Lord of glory.

I confess that the fact of God himself have taken the Lord Jesus Christ into the wilderness to be tempted caused me a lot of strange, but after thinking a bit about this passage, soon came to mind that our God is a loving Father, He never gives or do bad things to your children.

The fact that He led the Lord Jesus into the desert, why him have done what he did, that we do not know. We only know that this passage of temptation in the desert left us a very important lesson is: How should we behave in situations similar to that which the Lord Jesus faced.

Let's see how we can best put into practice in our lives these valuable lessons:

Observing the best word we see that the Lord Jesus Christ was filled with the Holy Spirit and God himself led him into the wilderness to be tempted.

This message today the Holy Spirit has taught us that even when we are filled with the Holy Spirit of God we can also be targets of the devil's temptation. That is why. is like the word counsels us, we must pray and watch forever.

And when we realize that the devil is trying to?

When we notice that we are being led to do evil. If we look carefully and realize in us some thought, attitude or gesture that might lead us to do evil it is a clear signal that we must arm ourselves with the word of God in order to face the devil, for he thus is acting in our lives.

And how to deal with the temptations of the devil?

When we notice that we are being attacked by evil, the first thing to do is to keep calm, serene and emptied. And there in the wilderness of our thoughts, emotions and feelings that we should look for a word from God that would guide us, give confidence and get rid of the attacks of the evil one.

So that we too, like the Lord Jesus Christ, bravely resist all assaults of evil, we must support only in the word of God and nothing else

It is in the desert of our existence, is in the desert of our opinions, our forces that we can hear the voice of our God and so we find the exit and the salvation of our Sovereign Lord the fullness is for us all.

Amen and thank God. Stay in the peace of the Lord Jesus Christ.
